I learned a lot about Korean skincare during my trip to Thailand. People are obsessed with whitening over there and use a special Korean Snail essence that happens to whiten skin! I personally don’t believe in fairness or whiteness and I have always opted for skincare products to achieve clearer skin than whiter skin.
However, I couldn’t keep my hands off the cutely packed Korean face masks and I bought a bulk of them.
These packs claim to have sheet masks that are rich in certain vitamins or essences that can moisturize your skin and give a firmer appearance. This certain range of face masks is from the Korean brand Dermal. These are collagen masks and claim to give a more plumpy appearance to your face.
I couldn’t click pictures after unpacking the sheet as I was in a hurry to place the serum-dripping sheet on my face. But here are the description from the package:
So did it work for me?
Honestly, I used three sheet masks in a row and I find all of them to be the same. No difference in the texture of the serum, smell or the effects. Coming to the effects, it feels great on the skin, helps in relaxing after a hard day at work, temporary glow but nothing out of the world. What amuses me the most is probably the packing and interesting essences they claim to use. For example, one variant is the snake venom variant. Then there’s another one- snail essence.
These two variants didn’t seem different to me as well and I doubt if they contain real snail essence or snake venom essence.
